Police ReportIncreased police attention will be directed to local parks & gathering areas over the summer period.Continuing traffic jumping of red lights at Merrylee/ Clarkston Rd & Delvin/ Rhannon/ Clarkston/ Newlands Roads Junctions Schools Car Free Zone:  Unannounced Police presence will continue through next school year. Email PC Garrity re any concerns.

Council Leader Susan Aitken has been made aware of the issue & is pursuing this. 
Linn Park: Re-opening of entrance at Snuff Mill. Cllr McC & Cllr JC continuing to pursue information re this. The Community Council is committed to supporting Friends of Linn Park’s contribution. 
Cathcart Station Mural: Thanks to all who contributed to the design and production of the mural and to the 24th May launch event.

Couper Institute:Mhairi TaylorIncrease public use of Couper: Following discussions with Baillies McCabe & Morgan regarding ways forward, a joint meeting with all Linn Ward Councillors will be arranged. Contact to be made with Sylvia Smith, Senior Libraries & Communities Manager Glasgow LifeFunding application for up to £100,000 available from Glasgow City Heritage Trust Historic Environment Grant. Applications closing date is the end of July. If successful, a refurbish of kitchen facilities could support larger events. Cllr McCabe: Castlemilk Hall Trust has expertise in sourcing funding.Will forward contact details to manager of Castlemilk Hall Fund. CL/ YBCLCllr McC/ MT
Events plan:Yla Barrie/ Tommy PetilloTeens film night: Successful event & helpful feedback from the group for future events. Cathcart station mural unveiling: Very positive reactions to the completed mural  There are several locally planned events which our CC will publicise & support. Cathcart, Merrylee and Muirend Festival: 23 August – 21st September.Summer Fete will be 23r August. Events are planned over the festival: events to publicise & support local business/ Micro talk & Macro talks/ Couper Doors Open Days among others.YB / TP: explore use of Snapchat & Tik Tok to publicise events.CL: Liaising with Old Cathcart & Simshill CC. 
Summary of Councillors’updatesCllr Carson: Will be raising issues regarding the standard of the gulley & drain clearing in Braehead. City Environment & Liveable Areas Committee Meeting: Requesting further information regarding changed funding & timescales for implementation of the cycle lane plans. Will forward the meeting minutes to Carolyn once available. Cllr Ferguson: GCC is working alongside Scottish & UK Government to source devolved funding to the city.Vacant derelict sites: Funding has been set aside for decontamination & preparation of sites for housing development.Family Inclusion in Schools: 50 city schools working with Financial Inclusion officers to provide support & financial advice to families. Council Recruitment: Recruiting for 350 posts across Council services. Local issues: Grass cutting of open areas is being addressed.Largely negative public response to the consultation re One way system in MerryleeAlarm isuesBlocked Gullies/ clothing bankCL/Cllr JC
