We meet every second Wednesday of the month 7-9pm in Cathcart Baptist Church

Meet, discuss, decide.

We work with Glasgow City Council elected representatives from Linn, Newlands/Auldburn and Langside, as well as local police and other services.

Our job is to represent the community on everything from planning and licensing applications to general improvements to the neighbourhood.

Planning and Licensing

We are an active voice between developers, City Council and the community. If you have concerns about a new development in your area or indeed are a developer who wants to engage with the community, please get in touch.

Local improvements

We work with our local councillors to flag up whenever anything isn’t quite right in Cathcart, Muirend and Merrylee. We can suggest ideas for improvements and work with Glasgow City Council to make things happen. If you’ve seen something locally that needs fixed, the quickest way to report it is through the My Glasgow app. You can also contact our local councillors directly.

Events

We are currently working on two events: a series of talks in the Couper Institute Library and Cathcart Window Wanderland, a magical event that will see the local streets transformed into a colourful, outdoor gallery of decorated windows.

Our Priorities

In early 2023, we surveyed our local community to find out what issues they wanted us to work on. Based on those results, there are 18 priorities that we’re trying to achieve right now. We need as many people as possible to help us make these happen, so if you feel strongly about any of them, please get in touch!
