Police ReportNo issues reported by police.
Car incident on 12 Aug 25 at Rhannan Road; could any additional measures be considered such as a one way road. Issues with the red light at the traffic junction here too which have been reported.
Sainsburys shoplifting constant issue, reports at Tesco on Merrylee Rd as well. Police Scotland note that there is an ongoing problem with various supermarkets with a dedicated retail taskforce to investigate those involved. Cllrs have been in touch with CEO of Sainsburys to emphasise need for a shop security staff.
Fireworks – too late to apply for a restriction control. Local issues at Holmlea and Linn Park will be reported to local Police Staff.

Report provided on priorities.
Merrylee Pitch resurfacing is with GCC Director of Education – Cllr Fergusson continues to chase. Maintenance has taken place on old pitch.

Couper Institute – Sylvia Smith, Glasgow LifeUpdate also provided in Chair’s Report. GLife staff are looking to promote bookings with previous and other users and developing a Marketing Plan to improve venues e.g. wifi provision.
Looking into costs for other improvements and keen to work with CC to enable progress and ensure venue is improved and utilised
Issues raised on sound/lighting facilities, step appearance, use of outdoor space for community, accessibility of the Institute.
Scale model of wooden Xmas tree provided to indicate potential for alternative to £5k tree



Continue engagement between GL and CC to discuss partnership working

Cllr Fergusson will look into possibility for Xmas 2026

Linn Park path closure: funds in place for work; procurement to be progressed – Cllrs are keeping pressure on along with Friends of Linn Pk.
