Police report2 officers from Pollok Station attended and reported:Clarkston Rd closed this morning due to an incident resulting in the arrest of one male; no injuries to others reportedShoplifting reported as an ongoing incident, with levels dropped in recent months. 2 recent arrests related to city wide cases. [CC wrote to Sainsburys Managing Director following our last meeting to raise the issue – to be chased up]. Security guard has been noted in attendance.Cathcart is our local office – any issues can be raised with local staff via the Officers. 
Issues raised:Fireworks locally as well as city wide still an issue during the sales period [CC are looking into a firework control zone application for 2026]Red light jumping an ongoing issues, especially on routes to school.Driving through Car free zone at primary schools remains an issue
Updates on various items and CC priorities within the Chair’s reportAdditional points:Street cleansing has new resources through Community Clean Teams to manage litter, fly-tipping etc, managed through Ward Co-ordinators. Issues can be raised using the GCC Reporting website and/or local Councillors. Linn Pk – GCC have indicated procurement is to come with no indicative timescales yet (Cllr Carson)Share link and info on Parents for Play at Linn Park – Action CLLocal bus service – Cllrs are discussing with the service provider and will keep the CC updated

Area Planning Partnership report – Mhairi Taylor
Linn Ward – 20 Nov meeting cancelled due to staffing issues
Langside AP – wrote to them with a reminder of our area within the area boundary. Agreed NIF allocation would be re-considered in Feb 2026 meeting. This includes Holmlea Park – Mhairi, Fiona and Louisa to convene and discuss application.
Newlands/Auldburn (Cllr Ferguson) met last week – £24k bids from £18k allocation remaining with £1.5k retained for emergencies
