We meet every second Wednesday of the month 7-9pm in Cathcart Baptist Church

Micro Talks at the Couper

Cathcart and District Community Council are delighted to bring local people together in our library hub, to listen to speakers, whilst enjoying a hot drink in a warm and friendly environment.

Based on the hugely successful Micro Talks West Kilbride, we’re delighted to launch Micro Talks Cathcart!

MicroTalks involve a range of speakers presenting 20 slides for 20 seconds each (6min 40Seconds total). The result is an eclectic, fast moving, engaging, sometimes amusing, always thought-provoking event.

We’re really excited to announce the lineup of speakers for Saturday 18th January 2025:

  • David McMillan – Offshore Wind – I’m a Big Fan
  • Phil Sisson – Fermentation Is Simple
  • Ania Noakes – Power of Breath
  • Joyce Gray – A Cavalier Attitude – Why I love King Charles Cavalier Spaniels
  • Geoff Hancock – Insects Spring Forward
  • Jon Molyneux – Talking Rubbish

The event is free and everyone is welcome!
