Cathcart and District Community Council are delighted to bring local people together in our library hub, to listen to speakers, whilst enjoying a hot drink in a warm and friendly environment.
Based on the hugely successful Micro Talks West Kilbride, we’re delighted to launch Micro Talks Cathcart!
MicroTalks involve a range of speakers presenting 20 slides for 20 seconds each (6min 40Seconds total). The result is an eclectic, fast moving, engaging, sometimes amusing, always thought-provoking event.
We’re really excited to announce the lineup of speakers for Saturday 18th January 2025:
- Kim Van Deere: Modern Witchcraft
- Janet Martin: Celebrating our Places
- Amanda Sykes: From War Heroes to Zeros
- Cameron Winton: Mills, Mines & Manufacturing – Industry in Linn Park
- Alan Dapre: From Book Idea to Bookshop
